This past February 8th and 9th, 2014, we held a two-part workshop to explore the central coast of California. The first day was dedicated to photographing the elephant seals of San Simeon and the second day was dedicated to photographing Big Sur and the surrounding areas. We started out north of Big Sur at Point Lobos State Reserve and worked our way south, stopping at several points along the way. The weather was rainy at times but the day was still very productive and the waves produced from the storm were very impressive. Adverse weather often produces images filled with mood and drama. We have also included a few other favorite images made throughout the weekend.
