Death Valley Workshop
DEATH VALLEY NATIONAL PARK WORKSHOP
February 15-20, 2025
LIMITED TO 3 PARTICIPANTS
$1500
Nowhere else on earth will you experience a place quite like Death Valley and nothing can fully prepare you for the scope of its landscape! This is a place of raw beauty where an alien environment is stripped bare and left exposed for those with a keen eye to marvel at. The names say it all – Dante’s View, Badwater Basin, the Devil’s Golf Course and the Devil’s Cornfield. This fierce landscape of diverse textures, colors and patterns reveals many wonders from the otherworldly polygons that make up the salt flats at Badwater Basin and the rich rainbow of colors found at Artist’s Palette, to the soft, sinuous lines of the vast Mesquite Sand Dunes and the mysterious sailing stones at the Racetrack Playa. We will spend at least one evening taking astrolandscapes. Travel with us through this land of extremes and learn how to capture dramatic images of this spectacular location!
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
We will shoot at many locations around Death Valley including Badwater Basin, Mesquite Sand Dunes, Artist’s Palette, Zabriskie Point, Dante’s View and the Racetrack Playa (if conditions are good to go), among many others. We will also be taking full advantage of the best light of the day which means we will be out early (before sunrise) and will be staying out late (past sunset) in order to provide you with the best possible photos!
*** Please Note: Some light hiking is required to access some of the best photographic locations. Most hikes are 1-3 miles round-trip through uneven terrain. Most of this hiking is over relatively flat, even terrain but hiking through the sand dunes can be strenuous.
